TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Taiwan will see temperatures as low as 10 C in flat areas starting Thursday (Nov. 28).
Meteorologist Daniel Wu (吳德榮) said on Tuesday (Nov. 26) that a cold front will bring rain to the north and east, while other regions will have partly cloudy to sunny weather. Cold air will gradually move southward, causing temperatures in the north to drop further into the evening.
From Wednesday to Sunday morning, a dry cold air mass will result in clear and stable weather. During this period, Wu said daytime temperatures will reach 23 C in the north and 27–28 C in central and southern regions, while early mornings and nights will be cold.
From Thursday through Sunday morning, Taiwan will see minimum temperatures around 10 C in some lowland areas of the north during the early morning and night. The Taipei Weather Station is expected to drop below 14 C, marking the fall’s first continental cold air mass.
Sunday until Monday, Wu predicted the cold air mass will slightly weaken, but significant temperature variations persist.
