TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — A 7-Eleven customer who spent NT$35 (US$1.07) on a cup of coffee has won the NT$10 million (US$308,000) Special Prize in the latest edition of the Taiwan receipt lottery.
On Monday (Nov. 25), the Ministry of Finance announced the winning numbers for the September-October lottery round. The winning number for the NT$10 million Special Prize was 28630525, while the NT$2 million Grand Prize winning number was 90028580. The three winning numbers for the NT$200,000 First Prize were 27435934, 39666605, and 02550031.
According to Liberty Times, five Special Prizes and four Grand Prizes were awarded this round at 7-Eleven stores. Among the Special Prize winners, the luckiest customer spent just NT$35 on a cup of City Cafe coffee at the Fudan Store on Dunhua South Road Section 1 in Taipei's Songshan District.
The second-luckiest Special Prize winner bought a salad for NT$60 at the Shin Kong Store on Songgao Road in Taipei's Xinyi District, while another winner spent NT$85 on pasta at the Xinhongsheng Store on Hougang 1st Road in New Taipei's Xinzhuang District.
Grand Prize winners included a customer who spent NT$90 on a drink and ready-to-eat food at the Fuzhong Store on Zhongshan Road Section 2 in Taoyuan City's Guanyin District, and another who purchased a NT$118 ready-to-eat meal at the Xinli Store on Rixin Road in Taoyuan's Zhongli District.
One Grand Prize winner spent NT$130 on a City Cafe coffee, a ready-to-eat meal, and a beverage at the Yuanquan Store in Taipei's Datong District, while the highest-spending Grand Prize winner bought NT$350 worth of drinks at the Baoqian Store on Youqian Road in Hsinchu County's Baoshan Township.
