Taipei (Taiwan News) – Taiwan’s giant hospitality group, Feastogether Corporation (饗賓餐旅), has introduced a new menu that celebrates premium ingredients at its upscale teppanyaki restaurant, Zhiyun (旨醞).
Located on the 38th floor of the Hong Well i-Tower in New Taipei City, Zhiyun offers a refined dining experience with 60 seats and three private rooms. The restaurant’s butlers elevate the teppanyaki experience to new heights, combining culinary artistry with personalized service.
The new menu showcases the best of seasonal ingredients, including A5 Wagyu, live lobster, abalone, Hiroshima oysters, and Japanese sea urchins. Each dish is meticulously crafted to highlight the natural flavors of the ingredients.
One of the most innovative dishes is the ribeye roll, with grapes that have been soaked in red and white wine for 12 hours. This unexpected pairing adds a unique sweetness and complexity to the rich, savory meat.
Another standout dish is the scallop burger, which features seared Hokkaido scallops layered with sea urchin and caviar, all wrapped in a crispy seaweed sheet. This playful presentation is matched by the explosion of flavors and textures in every bite.
The restaurant has also incorporated traditional Chinese culinary techniques into the menu. For instance, the floating cloud chicken soup features a delicate egg white foam that rests atop a rich, flavorful chicken broth.
The menu features 14 exquisite dishes, with a full set priced at NT$2,280 (US$88). An additional NT$400 will get you a charcoal-grilled king crab leg.
