TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang (黃仁勳) thanked Taiwanese suppliers for their cooperation in producing the company’s Blackwell platform in an online briefing on Thursday (Nov. 21).
Huang named Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), Foxconn, and ASE Technology, among others as supply chain partners, per CNA. He said Nvidia will work closely with them to increase Blackwell’s supply in 2025.
Huang said Nvidia has gained engineering experience in AI data centers and infrastructure, per UDN. However, there are still engineering challenges to overcome to meet global client deployment needs.
Huang said the Blackwell system integrates multiple chips and various cooling solutions deployed in data centers worldwide. This complex setup “is almost miraculous,” he added.
Nvidia reported a 109% year-over-year increase in net income for the third quarter ending Oct. 27, reaching US$19.31 billion (NT$628.66 billion). Adjusted earnings per share were US$0.81, exceeding expectations.
Market research firm Trendforce estimated that nearly 90% of Nvidia’s GPU products this year are from the Hopper platform, including the H100 and H200. The more powerful Blackwell platform is expected to ramp up next year, potentially becoming mainstream and driving the growth of advanced CoWoS packaging demand.
