TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – Tickets for December performances at the Taipei Dome by Taiwan’s “king of Mandopop,” Jay Chou (周杰倫) go on sale Wednesday (Oct. 23).
Chou has booked four consecutive evenings at the new venue as part of his “Carnival” world tour from Dec. 5-8. The tickets, which range in price from NT$1,880 (US$58) to NT$6,880 will go on sale from noon on tixCraft, per Chou’s music label, JVR Music.
The ticketing system tixCraft became a trending search keyword on Google on Tuesday night, with a netizen creating a practice tool for buying tickets to help people improve their speed, per CNA. The tool, which was posted to Threads on Monday, simulates the official ticketing interface, allowing users to choose the show date, seat location, and ticket quantity, and input the verification code.
As of 9:40 a.m. Wednesday, nearly two million people visited the practice site, causing significant slowdowns. In response, another person posted a mirror site to reduce the load on the original site.
Nearly 150,000 tickets will be sold for the four shows. Chou is the first singer to give solo concerts in the Taipei Dome and will mark his first solo stage performances in Taipei in seven years, per Up Media.
