TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — San Want Hotel's popular Pozzo Bakery is adding a spooky twist to its menu for Halloween.
In addition to its usual offerings, the bakery is introducing a line of hyper-realistic pastries to scare your friends with. One of the most eye-catching items is a fish head cake that looks so real it might make you gag.
But do not worry, it's actually a delicious strawberry cake. Other creepy creations include chawanmushi (steamed egg custard), scallop nigiri sushi, and even a salt-grilled sweetfish.
To celebrate the autumn crab season, the bakery is also offering a hyper-realistic crab cake. If you are a fan of horror games, you might want to check out the bakery's collaboration with video game company Softstar Entertainment Inc. (大宇資訊).
The bakery's pastries will be featured in the game scenes of the latest horror game, "Incantation" (咒).
In addition to its Halloween treats, the bakery is offering 15 quirky Halloween-themed pastries and breads, including vanilla custard filling bread "Cute Ghosts," super cute chocolate spider pineapple bread, and "Devil's fingers."
The bakery is offering a discount coupon to anyone who spends NT$300 (US$10) or more in a single transaction.
