TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – Michelin-starred Chef Kin (林明健) has unveiled his latest stylish restaurant "Golden," which offers a contemporary Asian dining experience at Regent Galleria B2 and opens its doors on Thursday (Oct. 17).
The interior of Golden is a visual feast, adorned in warm gold tones that create a luxurious atmosphere. As diners step into the restaurant, they are greeted by a striking contrast between the dimly lit corridor and the brightly lit dining area.
The minimalist design, complemented by gray-blue furniture, offers a fresh and inviting ambiance. The open kitchen allows guests to witness the culinary artistry firsthand.
Kin's culinary prowess is on full display at Golden. He has expertly blended the essence of French cuisine with Asian flavors, resulting in a diverse and delicious menu.
From familiar Japanese dishes like Chirashi sushi to innovative creations inspired by Asian cuisines, each dish is a testament to Kin's creativity and skill.
Golden's sister restaurant, Afterglo, offers a completely different atmosphere and menu, making it the perfect spot for a late-night gathering with friends.
Both restaurants are the brainchild of Kin and his friend Henry Tseng (曾柏憲), the founder of Shi Tang Restaurant Group
Golden's recommended dishes:
Chirashi sushi: A deconstructed chirashi bowl with crispy potato chips instead of rice, topped with fresh tuna, Ossetra caviar, tamago, and purple yam. For an extra luxurious experience, you can add Japanese sea urchins.
Japanese A5 Wagyu: A luxurious steak dish featuring perfectly cooked A5 Wagyu beef, served with a sukiyaki mustard sauce and a crispy sweet potato pancake.
Vegetable and shrimp salad: A colorful and flavorful salad featuring grilled shrimp, roasted vegetables, and a tangy Parmesan cheese dressing.
Kyoho grape toast: A sweet and savory treat featuring toasted sourdough bread topped with ricotta cheese and ginger grape jam.
Spiced grilled mackerel: Marinated in a a unique spice blend.
Roasted marshmallow chocolate: A decadent dessert inspired by the classic campfire treat, featuring a chocolate cookie sandwich filled with meringue, chocolate ganache, and digestive biscuit crumbs.
