TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Eva Air received a ninth-place ranking in the Conde Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Awards for Best Airlines in the World, the airline said Friday (Oct. 11).
Conde Nast Traveler, a renowned travel publication, has been conducting its annual Readers' Choice Awards since 1987. This year's survey, conducted from April to June, gathered responses from over 10,000 readers worldwide to determine the best in travel, including airlines, airports, and hotels, per CNA.
Singapore Airlines topped the list. It is followed by Qatar Airways and Emirates.
Besides its top-nine ranking for overall excellence, Eva Air also secured eighth place for Best Airlines for Food and Best International Airlines in North America. The airline has recently partnered with the Taiwan company Kansai Group to offer barbecue meals in all cabin classes on select routes, Eva Air said.
Additionally, a new design for the carrier's Royal Laurel Class Giorgio Armani amenity kit will be launched in October. The kit won the United Kingdom’s Onboard Hospitality magazine’s Best for Business Class Amenities on May 28.
Eva Air has received numerous awards this year, including a 5-star rating from Skytrax. It ranked eighth in the world's top 10 airlines, securing the top spot for best premium economy class dining globally and in Asia, and 13 other Skytrax awards.
Eva Air's commitment to sustainability has also been recognized. The airline is striving to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.
It ranked in the 2024 Sustainability Yearbook's Top 5% S&P Global CSA Score. The company is also in the top 5% of the Taiwan Stock Exchange Corporation’s (TWSE) corporate governance evaluation in 2023.
