TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – Starlux Airlines has joined a code-sharing alliance with Alaska Airlines, allowing travelers to book connecting flights from Seattle to eight destinations in the United States, reports said Friday (Oct. 4).
The cities available on the Starlux website are Las Vegas, Portland, Phoenix, San Diego, Salt Lake City, Denver, Dallas, and Austin, per CNA. The Taiwan airline launched its Seattle service in August.
The new alliance means that travelers arriving in Seattle could board a connecting flight within three hours at the earliest, according to Starlux. From March 1, 2025, the frequency of its flights between Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport and Seattle will increase to one per day from the current three per week.
The airline is also upping its weekly number of flights to Los Angeles from seven to 10 beginning Dec. 22. To service the route expansions, Starlux unveiled plans to almost double its fleet of aircraft from 22 to 48 by the end of 2026.
