TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — HTC announced its new Vive Focus Vision on Wednesday (Sept. 18), aiming to break into the XR (extended reality) market.
HTC Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing Huang Chao-ying (黃昭穎) said the headset will launch in regions including the US, Europe, the Middle East, and more, per DigiTimes. The executive said he hopes the headset can strengthen HTC’s position in the high-end XR market, per CNA.
By offering solutions tailored to different market needs, HTC aims to strengthen collaborations with partners across global industries and expand its ecosystem, he explained.
Huang said he is optimistic that the new product will drive diversification in XR applications and contribute to HTC’s growth. Additionally, it will enhance collaboration in fields such as education and healthcare.
Huang said XR device sales in Taiwan are dominated by the enterprise market. However, he said there is growth in the consumer market, particularly in entertainment and gaming.
