TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The first building of Kaohsiung Software Park Phase 2 is set to be completed by 2026.
Kaohsiung Legislator Lai Rui-lung (賴瑞隆) said in a Facebook post Thursday (Sept. 19) the Asia Bay Smart Technology Building received approval from Kaohsiung City Government on July 15. The space will be home to 5G, AI, and software companies.
The building will be available for lease with rental spaces ranging from the fifth to the 11th floors, totaling 6,088 ping (20,112 square meters), per CNA. Monthly rent per ping will range from NT$1,110 (US$35) to NT$1,290, and parking space rent will range from NT$2,720 to NT$3,040 per month.
Lai added the development of AI and tech in Asia New Bay Area has attracted significant domestic and international attention. Nearly half of the space in the still-under-construction Phase 2 building has already been pre-booked by 20 companies.
Lai said Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) plans to establish a plant in Nanzih Technology Industrial Park while AMD plans to move into Asia New Bay Area. The recent investments will accelerate Kaohsiung’s smart industries, he added.
