TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Components manufacturer Delta Electronics inaugurated its India headquarters and research center in Bengaluru on Monday (Sept. 9).
According to a company press release, both buildings are in Bommasandra Industrial Area, Karnataka. The headquarters is 61,000 square meters and can house up to 3,000 employees.
The research center supports over 300 engineers with plans to add 750 within the next three years, the company said. The facility is equipped with advanced labs for high-voltage product testing and medium-voltage power quality assessment.
President of Delta Electronics India Benjamin Lin (林正彬) said the headquarters will not only enhance Delta’s capabilities in India but strengthen its global footprint. “This milestone underscores our investment in India’s growing technological landscape and aligns with our company's ‘Local for Local’ talent initiative, which aims to foster local innovation to serve customers worldwide,” he said.
Managing Director of Delta Electronics India Niranjan Nayak said the research center reflects the company’s vision for the future. “It is designed to be a hub for innovation, focusing on the latest advancements in power electronics while maintaining a strong commitment to sustainability,” he explained.
The new center is part of the company’s plan to invest US$500 million (NT$16 billion) into India, per Reuters.
