TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Electronics manufacturer Inventec held its “AI Day” event on Monday (Sept. 9) at the Taipei Performing Arts Center, debuting its latest advancements in AI and robotics technology.
According to a company press release, Inventec invited hundreds of guests from industry, government, and academia to showcase breakthroughs in AI technology.
Inventec highlighted how large language model (LLM) technology can assist in diagnosing Alzheimer’s disease by analyzing patients’ language to detect early symptoms of neurodegeneration, according to CNA. Unlike traditional methods that provide only fragmented sentence evaluations, LLM technology allows for the precise identification of sentence errors, the company explained.
In the field of smart manufacturing, Inventec demonstrated how robotic arms equipped with AI visual recognition technology achieved intelligent picking and placing, with a success rate of 99% in in-house laboratory tests. The company emphasized that this technology complies with ISO/TS 15066:2016 safety standards for human-robot collaboration.
In related news, Inventec announced on Saturday (Sept. 7) that its August revenue reached NT$52 billion (US$1.6 billion), according to Anue. The cumulative revenue for the first eight months of this year totaled NT$392.2 billion, setting a new record for the same period.
