TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — International passengers on Taiwan's China Airlines are eligible for a discount on Taipei Metro passes, the airline announced on Sunday (Sept. 1).
China Airlines and the Taipei Metro have teamed up to introduce the “Metro-Airline Combo Ticket." From Sept. 1 until Feb. 28, 2025, travelers who buy China Airlines tickets to Taiwan can, within seven days of arrival, present their boarding pass, passport, and purchase receipt at designated Ezfly counters (located at Taoyuan Airport Terminals 1 and 2 or the Taoyuan MRT stop at Taipei Main Station) to purchase a 72-hour Taipei MRT pass at a discounted price.
During the promotion's first month, the 72-hour pass can be purchased for NT$250 (US$7.78), a 34% discount off the regular price. From Oct. 1 to Feb. 28, 2025, the pass will be available for NT$320.
Additional benefits to the travel pass include discounted access to the Maokong Gondola, Taipei Children's Amusement Park, National Palace Museum, National Taiwan Museum, Red House in Ximending, Miniatures Museum of Taiwan, MRT merchandise stores, Beitou Resort Metro Inn, and exclusive gifts and discounts from well-known businesses along the metro lines.
