TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Taiwan’s Chen Wen-huei (陳玟卉) finished sixth in the women's 71kg weightlifting category at the Paris Olympics Saturday (Aug. 10).
A bronze medalist in the 64kg class at the Tokyo Olympics, Chen moved up a category after weight classes were merged. The 27-year-old lifted 103 kg in the snatch and 133 kg in the clean and jerk for a total of 236 kg.
Chen had set national records in the clean and jerk and total lift at the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) World Cup in April. She placed fourth with a total lift of 246 kg, per CNA.
