TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The Okura Prestige Taipei is celebrating its 12th anniversary with special room rates and dining offers.
The luxury hotel, known for its Japanese-inspired design, is offering Taiwanese residents (including those with resident permits) a one-night stay for NT$3,999 (US$122.65). Dining discounts and vouchers are also available.
Additionally, the hotel is offering Cantonese mooncake gift boxes as the Mid-Autumn Festival approaches. Each mooncake is adorned with graceful illustrations of flowing water and evergreen pine trees, representing prosperity and enduring friendship.
Japanese and Chinese cuisine
- Yamazoto Japanese cuisine: Yamazoto, with a 50-year heritage from The Okura Tokyo, offers a variety of special dishes. Guests can also enjoy a complimentary nishikyo-yaki (grilled fish in a sweet miso marinade) gift set with minimum spend. Additionally, the restaurant is introducing a selection of premium sake from Yamaguchi, Ibaraki, and Kochi prefectures in Japan.
- Toh-Ka-Lin Chinese cuisine: The category offers 12 limited-time anniversary dishes, including a unique twist on Peking duck called “toh-ka-lin Yunlin Goose." Other highlights include shark fin soup with lion's head meatballs and sea cucumber with scallops. Guests who spend NT$2,600 (US$79.75) or more will receive a complimentary bowl of Hong Kong-style fire-pot chicken soup.
European buffet
The hotel's European buffet is offering a special Olympic-themed menu, along with complimentary focaccia bread and handmade egg yolk pastries. A limited-time dessert, coffee whiskey cheesecake, is also available.
