TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Taipei police have discovered more bones, a backpack, and a tracking device at the site where a human skull was found on Friday (July 17).
A worker was cleaning rubbish from a drainage ditch on a hillside in Xinyi District when they discovered the skull in tall grass on Friday.
Later the same day, the Taipei Police Department said a search of the site had uncovered a backpack containing a drink bottle, an Apple AirTag, and what appeared to be a leg bone, per CNA.
Police said they had to sift through large amounts of rubbish to find the evidence. No identity documents were found at the site, and the identification of the deceased's remains unknown.
Police said they will continue to examine the evidence and comb missing persons databases to identify the remains.
