Police on Friday (July 19) uncovered leg bones and other human remains aside from the skull. No identification documents were found.
The body's identity has yet to be confirmed. A report will be sent to the prosecutor's office for a forensic examination.
In addition to the remains, officers also located a purple backpack containing a water bottle, keychain, and an Apple AirTag Bluetooth tracker. Police are currently cross-referencing the AirTag with missing person reports.

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — A human skull was discovered Friday (July 19) afternoon in a pile of grass in Taipei.
Taipei police received a report at about 2 p.m. that a suspected human skull had been found near Section 3, Heping East Road, in Xinyi district. Officers were dispatched to the scene, per CNA.
Police cordoned off the area for evidence collection. They said the skull was discovered by construction workers who were clearing trash and doing construction work on the hillside.
It is unclear whether the skull was originally buried in the nearby cemetery, or if there are other factors involved.
