TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Gogoro said Wednesday (July 17) the company has been certified to launch battery swapping stations and scooters in Singapore in Q4.
According to a Gogoro press release, cooperating with Singaporean distributor Cycle & Carriage, the company will introduce three scooter models in Singapore: Gogoro SuperSport, Gogoro Premium, and Gogoro Viva Mix, per CNA.
Gogoro founder and CEO Horace Luke (陸學森) said he was pleased the company is certified to operate in Singapore. “This certification is a testament to how safe, smart, reliable and eco-friendly Gogoro battery swapping is,” the CEO said.
“Gogoro, Cycle & Carriage and foodpanda have been participating in a pilot that has demonstrated incredible success and we look forward to transitioning to commercial operations soon,” Luke added.
Meanwhile, Gogoro also announced Wednesday its partnership with Shell Recharge to launch GoStations at Shell service stations in Singapore. The first GoStation is slated for operation in August.
