TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — A roller coaster malfunction left 16 guests hanging 30 meters in the air on Friday (June 28) at Yunlin’s Janfusun Fancyworld theme park.
Janfusun Fancyworld issued a press release on Saturday (June 29) and said all guests that were on the ride at the time of the malfunction were safely evacuated from it within about five minutes.
The theme park said the ride’s malfunction was caused by a temporary power outage, and that power was quickly restored by staff.
Taipower said there were no issues with the power supply to Janfusun Fancyworld at the time of the incident. The park said in its press release that regular inspections are carried out on its equipment for the safety of guests.
