TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The Taipei International Food Show will be held at the Nangang Exhibition Center from June 26 to 29, a one-stop shop for international buyers and an important industry event uniting domestic and overseas food producers through exhibitions, seminars, and forums.
The exhibition has become one of the most important food-purchasing platforms in Asia in recent years. This year is no exception, with 1,620 manufacturers occupying 4,353 exhibition booths, signifying a growing appetite for Asian tastes and flavors.
To address growing sustainability concerns in the food industry, this year's exhibition features two main themes: “Food for the Future" and "Food Safety and Sustainability."
For the former theme, a Future Food Pavilion will be created in cooperation with Taiwan's Food Industry Research and Development Institute (FIRDI), showcasing the latest food trends and technologies, from alternative food to plant-based foods and microbial fermentation technology. The pavilion features exhibitors who are building a sustainable food system built upon innovation that will drive the food industry forward.
The Future Food Pavilion also gives visitors a glimpse into the possibilities that await us at the dining table of tomorrow. Through the demonstration of low-carbon ingredients, we see the eco-friendly evolution in the food industry supply chain.
To further emphasize sustainability, the “Green Vision Award” will debut at the exhibition, shining a light on companies that have made significant steps in adopting Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices. This award aims to celebrate and encourage environmentally friendly efforts within the industry, showcasing the commitment of businesses to incorporate sustainable development.
Industry converges in Taipei
Aside from domestic exhibitors, food manufacturers from 31 countries and regions will attend the exhibition, including those from the United States, Japan, South Korea, Canada, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Italy, France, and more.
Exhibitors will display a variety of fresh foods and packaged agricultural products, as well as tea, wine, coffee, snack foods, food machinery, packaging equipment, and catering equipment.
The exhibition will also feature national pavilions from 20 different countries as well as Taiwanese food pavilions from 12 different municipalities. Each pavilion will be a mixture of fresh agricultural products imported directly from the country of origin, and top-quality foreign ingredients will be on display.
This year will see the addition of new areas such as the Czech Pavilion and the St. Lucia Pavilion. The addition of these national pavilions will provide visitors with the chance to get a taste of unique food and culture from around the world.
The exhibition also explores the latest food and flavor trends, working with exhibitors to showcase the newest products through stimulating presentations that spur the imagination and curiosity of visitors. As tastes and trends evolve, many buyers are on the lookout for new products.
Special activities and forums
A "Food Taipei Forum" invites domestic and foreign experts to analyze industry trends and market developments. The forum is an excellent platform for the industry to learn more about international standards and future food technology.
The exhibition also features a four-day "Daily Savory" series, with each day featuring highlighted booth activities based on different themes, from exotic flavors to local delicacies, from green supply chain to Industry 4.0 (Smart Manufacturing).
Additionally, "Guided Tours" are organized to give attendees in-depth tours of the Future Food Pavilion. Focusing on future food products and techniques, the Guided Tours provide a comprehensive look at what's new and noteworthy in the food industry, offering a new perspective on the exhibition.
Other exciting activities include procurement meetings, and KOL promotional videos. Through all of these activities, both visitors and exhibitors will glimpse the future of the food industry which is more sustainable and nutritious.
