TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — English and Albanian singer and songwriter Dua Lipa will perform in northern Taiwan in November.
On Wednesday (May 29), the pop star released the Asian leg of her Radical Optimism tour on Instagram and her website. She said that because her summer tour dates start in one week, she decided to add more to the concert series, with Asian performances slated for November and December.
The Asian tour kicks off in Singapore on Nov. 6, followed by Jakarta, Manila, Tokyo, Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, and Bangkok, and finishes on Dec. 4 in Seoul. The Taipei show will be on Nov. 20 at the Rakuten Taoyuan Baseball Stadium, reported Marie Claire.
Dua Lipa performed in Taiwan in 2018 at the Taipei International Convention Center. In 2020, she drew attention in Taiwan again for praising Shaomei's black sugar boba popsicles and sharing a photo of its packaging on Instagram, quickly gaining 1.37 million likes.
The global pop queen has won three Grammy Awards and seven Brit awards. She has achieved 42 billion digital streams and in 2020 achieved significant success with her album “Future Nostalgia,” which became her first U.K. number-one album.
She was recently nominated for a Golden Globe award for the song “Dance The Night” from the blockbuster film “Barbie.” Her newest album “Radical Optimism” has hit the top of the charts in 11 countries, including the biggest U.K. debut in 2024 and No. 1 on the U.S. Top Album Sales chart.
Tickets for her Taiwan show will go on sale on June 12 on the Live Nation website. However, Live Nation members will have the exclusive opportunity to purchase tickets in advance from 11 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. on June 11.
