TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Starlux Airlines announced on Sunday (March 31) that it would fly three new international routes from Taichung International Airport.
The Taiwanese airline will fly new routes to Japan, Vietnam, and Macau, according to CNA. The airline will have eight weekly flights to Macau, three to Da Nang, Vietnam, and three charter flights to Takamatsu, Japan.
A flight inauguration ceremony was held at the airport, which was attended by Starlux Chair Chang Kuo-wei (張國煒) and Taichung Mayor Lu Shiow-yen (盧秀燕), among others. The mayor noted that flights to and from Taichung International Airport have reached 90% of pre-pandemic levels.
