TAIPEI (Taiwan News) -- Sightseeing voyages to “watch Dongyin from the sea” will set sail from April 1, Dongyin Township Office said on Wednesday (March 27).
Dongyin Island is part of Taiwan’s offshore Matsu Islands, located not far from the coast of southern China’s Fuzhou City. Visitors can either fly there or take the Taima Star ship (台馬之星) from Keelung Port.
The township office said an inter-island sightseeing boat trip to Dongyin allows visitors to admire magnificent coastal scenery and seagulls. Trips start from April 1 and run through Sept. 30, with voyages every Monday, Thursday, Friday, and on holidays.
Additional voyages can be arranged, but the number of passengers must be up to 20, the office said.
The boat fare is NT$300 per adult, NT$200 for people older than 65, younger than 12, or handicapped people with companions. Each boat will be staffed with a narrator.
