TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – The main attractions at the Calla Lily Festival this year will be beautiful landscapes and music concerts, according to Taipei’s Department of Economic Development (DOED).
The festival will take place in Zhuzihu (竹子湖), at Yangmingshan National Park in Taipei, from March 29 to April 28. In addition to admiring flowers, visitors can change into frog costumes to pick the flowers on the farms.
“The participating calla lily farms will take turn hosting concerts throughout the activity period, offering visitors a relaxing stay in the vicinity as they watch the sea of calla lilies under the afternoon sun,” a statement on the event’s website said.
Traffic controls will be implemented on nearby major roads on weekends and holidays.
According to the Beitou Farmers’ Association, the calla lilies will bloom until the end of May.
