TAIPEI (Taiwan News) -- Google Maps today (Feb. 13) updated its product to show 3D views of Taipei City, as well as three other cities in Taiwan.
Effective today, users of Google Maps can now access 3D views of Taipei City, New Taipei City, Taoyuan, and Taichung, with more cities in Taiwan to be available in the near future. The most obvious change is the dramatic way Taipei 101 stands out in Taipei's landscape.
To launch the 3D view, go to Google Maps, type in the landmark to be viewed, and then click on the hamburger menu icon on the left to expand the available options, and click on "Satellite."

The map should now appear in 3D. Click on the compass icon on the lower right hand corner to rotate the view.
To tilt the view, click on the 3D icon just below the compass icon. To zoom in and out, click the plus and minus buttons below the 3D icon, or scroll up or down with the mouse.
Moving the mouse up and down or left and right will also change the position of the map.
