Alvaro’s solo exhibition titled "Passion and Emptiness" features multiple paintings and small-scale sculptures, which explored his sensibility and rationality.
"The process of making art is similar to looking for the exit in a maze. The ultimate goal is to bound with people around us. However, it takes courage and luck to accomplish the mission. I have to constantly ask questions and answer them myself," said Alvaro.
According to the official website, Alvaro believes that intuition is essential in making a breakthrough in situations involving his art. His process of making a breakthrough is similar to the idea of meandering in the Greek mythological “labyrinth,” which seems extremely complicated but still has a definite exit.
Through his artworks, Alvaro found the way out of his "labyrinth" (maze) and has successfully built relationships with the others around him. Whenever he devotes himself to creating artwork, he describes it as a journey of exploration, and contemplation to seek out the right path.
