Spain recalling ambassador from Honduras

Spain is recalling its ambassador from Honduras to protest the coup that ousted President Manuel Zelaya.
The Foreign Ministry says in a statement issued Wednesday it is acting as part of international efforts to reinstate Zelaya.
It did not say when the ambassador will be coming back to Spain.
Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos called Tuesday for EU countries to withdraw their ambassadors from the Central American country as a way to exert pressure on the new ruling authorities there to restore Zelaya to power.
