Brazil wins confidence of foreign small investors

Brazil, Latin America's largest market and home to 190 million people, is increasingly attracting young foreign investors who are generating new jobs with their capital and know-how.
Over the last four years, the number of foreigners receiving Brazilian work visas has doubled from 1,284 to 2,722, according to official figures.
Half of those visas were in the "investor" category.
One of those investors is New Yorker Zachary Mazur, 31.
Mazur is the creator of "Brazilian Praia" brand flip flops, which he hopes can compete with Brazil's famed "Havaianas" brand.
In Brazil, Mazur saw an opportunity to develop a business that couldn't succeed in the United States, where the market is too saturated and competitive for small investors.
After just five years in Brazil, Mazur exports his flip flops to Singapore, the Philippines, Japan and Australia.
