Weather forecast for the Asia-Pacific region

A low pressure system hovering over the Sea of Japan will create a strong frontal boundary that will bring active weather to eastern Asia.
The front will extend from Japan, over the East China Sea, and into eastern and southern China. It will kick up moderate to heavy showers and thunderstorms as it tracks southeastward throughout the day.
Meanwhile in the north, the low pressure system will bring scattered showers to the Korean peninsula and northern Japan.
Tokyo will see light rain with highs in the mid-20s Celsius, while Shanghai may see scattered showers early in the day with highs in the upper 20s C.
Moderate to heavy showers and thunderstorms may develop in Hong Kong with highs in the upper 20s C. High pressure building over the rest of China will allow hot and dry conditions to continue. Beijing will see mostly sunny skies with highs near 32 C.
To the west, wet and humid conditions are expected across the Pacific Islands, Indochina, and India. Moderate to heavy storms will develop over Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Myanmar.
In Australia, a low pressure system will move through the Great Australian Bight while high pressure continues to build over the majority of the country.
This will push light and scattered precipitation over the southern coasts of the continent while warm and dry conditions persist elsewhere. Sydney will see mostly sunny skies with highs near 21 C.
