Murray beats Wawrinka in marathon match under roof

Andy Murray won the first match played entirely under the roof on Centre Court at Wimbledon, beating Stanislas Wawrinka in a five-set match Monday ending at about 10:40 pm.
It was the latest match ever played at Wimbledon.
The 3 hour, 57-minute match began at about 6:45 p.m.
The new retractable roof had been closed for the first time after light rain halted play during the second set of a match between Dinara Safina and Amelie Mauresmo.
Even though the rain stopped, the transluscent roof was kept closed and the matches were played under cover with floodlights.
The third-seeded Murray advanced to the quarterfinals to face Juan Carlos Ferrero.
