Kenya confirms country's first swine flu case

Kenya's public health minister says the country has confirmed its first case of swine flu.
Public Health Minister Beth Mugo says a 20-year-old British student was diagnosed on Saturday with swine flu in the western Kenya town of Kisumu. Mugo says the student was infected in Britain.
Mugo told journalists on Monday that the student is part of a group of 34 who have been in Kenya since June 21 conducting field studies. The other students have been quarantined in their hotel in Kisumu.
Kenya is the fifth sub-Saharan African country to report cases of swine flu.
The World Health Organization says a total of 55,867 cases and 238 deaths were confirmed globally as of Wednesday.
