Two passenger trains collided in central China on Monday, killing at least three people and leaving 60 injured, state media reported.
The pre-dawn crash occurred in Hunan province when a train going from the capital Changsha to the southern city of Shenzhen collided with another train heading to Shenzhen, the Xinhua News Agency said.
Several cars were derailed, Xinhua said, without providing any other details.
The railway minister has traveled to the station at Chenzhou, where the crash occurred at 2:34 a.m. (1834 GMT Sunday), to oversee rescue operations, Xinhua said.
