Bangalore restricts Delhi to 134-7 in IPL

Praveen Kumar took three wickets and captain Anil Kumble two as the Bangalore Royals Challengers restricted the Delhi Daredevils to 134-7 on Tuesday in an Indian Premier League match.
The 22-year-old pace bowler Kumar returned figures of 3-30 from four overs while offspinner Kumble claimed 2-24.
Dinesh Karthik top-scored for Delhi with 31.
Bangalore's opening bowlers Kumar and Jacques Kallis maintained a tight line and length and were rewarded with early wickets on a bouncy Wanderers wicket.
Kumar struck a double blow in the first over, removing both Virender Sehwag and Mithun Manhas _ both for ducks.
Sehwag went first, glancing the ball to Ross Taylor at square leg off Kumar.
Two balls later Manhas attempted a cheeky flick past third man but was caught by Jacques Kallis.
Gautam Gambhir was beaten by Kallis' exta bounce on the last ball of the sixth over for Taylor to take another catch at square leg to reduce Delhi to 37-3.
A.B de Villiers added 28 runs before left-arm spinner Roloef van der Merwe bowled him in the 11th over. Five runs later Kumble bowled Andrew McDonald for three to leave Delhi struggling on 70-5.
Karthik and Yogesh Nayar bolstered Delhi's total with a 39 run partnership off 35 balls for the sixth wicket before Robin Uthappa held on to a good catch to remove Nayar off of Kumble's bowling.
Karthik was the last wicket to fall in the 18th over, falling to the same Kumar/Uthappa combination.
Farveez Maharoof ended unbeaten on 18 and Daniel Vettori on four.
