Lincecum pitches Giants past Cubs

Tim Lincecum allowed four hits over seven innings and Bengie Molina hit a three-run homer to lead the San Francisco Giants over the Chicago Cubs 6-2 in the National League on Tuesday.
Lincecum (3-1) struck out seven and walked two in ending the Cubs' four-game winning streak.
Resting five regulars against Lincecum, the 2008 Cy Young winner, Cubs manager Lou Piniella went with a lineup featuring six players who were in the minors as recently as 2007.
The Giants broke it open with a three-run eighth featuring Aaron Rowand's two-run, bases-loaded double that ended an 0-for-20 slump.
Nationals 10, Astros 10, 11 innings, suspended
At Washington, the game was suspended by rain and will be resumed on July 9 in Houston with Washington as the home team.
They looked like the two last-place teams they are, botching basics.
First, Houston led 5-2, thanks in part to Washington catcher Wil Nieves' way-off-the-mark throw on a sacrifice bunt in the fifth. Then the Nationals went up 8-5, sending 12 men to the plate in the sixth, when they scored six runs on only two hits. They had help from five walks, a hit batter and an error.
Houston tied it at 8 with a three-run seventh, which included an error by shortstop Cristian Guzman, who dropped a throw on what should have been a groundout. In the eighth, Darin Erstad walked and scored on a wild pitch to put Houston ahead 9-8.
Guzman's two-run homer in the eighth gave Washington 10-9 but the Astros tied it in the ninth on Geoff Blum's sacrifice fly.
