Match between Defensor-Boca delayed a week

A Copa Libertadores match scheduled for Thursday between Defensor Sporting of Uruguay and Boca Juniors of Argentina is being delayed for a week because the stadium in Montevideo is unavailable.
Uruguay's football federation requested the change, and both the Argentine federation and CONMEBOL _ the governing body of South American football _ announced the move on Tuesday.
The first leg in the knockout round of 16 will be played on May 14 in Montevideo, and the second on May 21 in Buenos Aires.
Dante Prato, the president of Defensor, said Centenario stadium had already been booked for another event, and the other stadium available was too small.
The delay will give Boca's playmaking midfielder Juan Ramon Riquelme another week to recover from a right foot injury that has kept him off the field for three weeks. He was doubtful for Thursday.
The two Mexican clubs in the chase _ San Luis and Chivas of Guadalajara _ have had their first-leg matches delayed by a week as officials look for venues outside Mexico. South American club have opposed playing in Mexico because of the swine flu outbreak.
San Luis was to have hosted Nacional of Uruguay, and Sao Paulo was to have played at Chivas in the first leg this week. Away legs are to be played in Uruguay and Brazil.
The round of 16 was set to open Tuesday when Palmeiras hosts Sport Recife. On Wednesday, Gremio visits Universidad San Martin of Peru. On Thursday it's: Deportivo Cuenca vs. Caracas, Estudiantes vs. Libertad, and Universidad de Chile vs. Cruzeiro.
