4 Arabs lose Israeli citizenship over suspect ties

Israel says four Israeli Arabs living abroad are being stripped of their citizenship and will not be allowed back into the country because of suspected ties to militant groups.
The move was the first of its kind by Israel's new government. Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman has demanded Israeli Arabs take loyalty oaths.
Roi Lachmanovitch, a spokesman for the interior minister, said on Tuesday that Israeli intelligence reports showed the four "joined terror groups in Lebanon and elsewhere in the Arab world."
He said the men left Israel in the 1970s but didn't name the groups they allegedly joined.
Arabs make up about 20 percent of Israel's 7.1 million-strong population. They have equal rights with Jews but have suffered discrimination for decades.
