Lavrov pulls out of Russia-NATO meeting

Russia's NATO envoy Dmitry Rogozin told Russian news agencies Tuesday's move to withdraw from the May 19 meeting was in protest over recent NATO actions.
Moscow objects to NATO plans for military exercises starting Wednesday in Georgia, which fought a short war with Russia in August, and the recent decision to withdraw the accreditation of two Russian diplomats at the Russia-NATO Council.
Russia is frustrated by what it sees as Western meddling in its rightful sphere of influence. NATO maintains the war games are not directed at Russia.
