German police seize euro400,000 in narcotics

German police say they have seized euro400,000 ($535,000) worth of illegal drugs from an apartment in a town outside Frankfurt.
Police said Tuesday they seized some 132 pounds (60 kilograms) of speed, as well as lesser quantities of heroin, hashish and cocaine.
Police said two people with suspected ties to organized crime in the former Yugoslavia _ a 20-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man _ were both arrested on suspicion of trafficking.
Police say the pair's apartment and garage in the town of Offenbach had been observation before the raid last week.
