FC Seoul beats Indonesia's Sriwijaya 5-1

FC Seoul kept its faint hopes of reaching the second round of the Asian Champions League alive by defeating Sriwijaya of Indonesia 5-1 on Tuesday thanks to a hat trick from Dejan Damjanovic and two goals from Sim Woo-yeon.
It was a comfortable win in the end for Seoul but the team remains third in the group and needs other results to go its way to qualify for the second round. If Shandong Luneng defeats already qualified Gamba Osaka on Wednesday, the Chinese champion will take second and a place in the last 16.
Seoul moved ahead after 17 minutes through Dejan Damjanovic. The Montenegrin striker skipped past one defender and then found the bottom corner of the net with a low shot from the left side of the area.
The South Korean team had poor finishing to blame for not going further ahead and was stunned when Sriwijaya equalized after 61 minutes.
Keith Gumbs, from St. Kitts and Nevis, raced free of the Seoul defense to blast a low shot past goalkeeper Kim Ho-jun.
The goal galvanized Seoul into action and with 18 minutes remaining, Damjanovic lifted the ball over the goalkeeper from the edge of the area to restore his team's lead.
Two minutes later, substitute Sim Woo-yeon scored into an empty net to seal the win and he added a fourth shortly after. Damjanovic completed his hat trick in the dying seconds.
