Spain swine flu cases up to 57

Spain has detected 57 confirmed cases of swine flu, the health minister said Monday.
That number means Spain remains the hardest-hit nation in Europe amid the worldwide outbreak.
Health Minister Trinidad Jimenez said 63 people are under observation.
The confirmed cases include four people who had not recently been to Mexico, the apparent source of the global outbreak, the ministry said earlier in a statement.
The new figure of 57 was up from 44 on Sunday night.
Of the confirmed cases, only 11 people are still in the hospital, Jimenez told a news conference. The rest have been released and sent home. None of the 57 are in serious condition, she added.
Jimenez spoke after meeting with a national committee set up to monitor the flu epidemic, and later with Development Minister Jose Blanco, whose ministry is responsible for Spain's airports.
Red Cross volunteers will now be stationed at all of Spain's airports to provide information to people traveling to or returning from countries hit by the outbreak, Jimenez said.
