OECD report shows French sleep, eat more than most

The French certainly know how to live: A new study says they sleep more than anyone in the world's most economically developed countries, and eat more, too.
The report, which surveyed 18 countries in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, shows the French sleep nine hours on average _ an hour longer than the Japanese, who work and commute more than the leisure-loving French.
And the French _ among the world's slimmest people _ spend twice as much time eating as Americans, Canadians and Mexicans.
Monday's report, entitled "Society at a Glance," also shows that Italian women have 80 minutes a day less leisure time than Italian men, and that Norway has the most equal society in terms of leisure time.
