Shangri-La's Far Eastern Plaza Hotel, Taipei has prepared an array of family gathering options for Mother's Day on May 10, 2009 and on May 9, for early celebrations.
Mother's Day Specialties at The Cake Shop (1F)
Pastry Chef Andrew Chen has designed two artisan Mother's Day cakes with refreshing fruits. The Cassis Apple Heart Cake offers a light blend of apple, cassis and chocolate in a heart-shape and is priced at NT$850. The Mediterranean Apricot Cake features dynamic flavors and texture created with layers of sable tart, an aromatic blend of chocolate apricot ganache topped with nougat chocolate, vanilla, and caramelized apricot slices and is priced at NT$1,080. Shanghai Pavilion is offering a nourishing Mother's Day set for lunch or dinner on May 9 and 10, featuring Baked Fresh Lobster with Superior Chicken Soup and Cream Sauce, Pan-fried Fish Fillet with Truffle, Double-boiled Chicken Soup with Bamboo Fungus and more.
