Turkey stockpiles swine flu medicine

Turkey's Health Ministry says it has ordered an additional 800,000 boxes of medicine to guard against a possible swine flu outbreak.
Ministry deputy undersecretary Turan Buzgan says Turkey already has 1.2 million boxes of medicine, a stock sufficient to treat 6 million people and protect 12 million. He did not identify the medicine.
Buzgan says there is no confirmed case of swine flu in Turkey. Buzgan said Monday that the death of a suspected patient in the Mediterranean port city of Antalya on Sunday was not related to swine flu.
Buzgan says Turkey has enough masks and other protective gear. Health authorities say Turkey has begun screening passengers traveling from abroad.
