Quake rattles Venezuelan capital

A moderate earthquake has rattled Venezuela's capital, but there are no reports of damage or injuries.
Venezuela's seismological agency said the magnitude 5.4 quake was centered about 9 miles (14 kilometers) southwest of the Caracas suburb of Los Teques.
Francisco Garces, president of the seismological agency, said there were no immediate reports of significant damage or injuries.
Residents in the capital were jolted out of bed by the quake at about 4:40 a.m. local time (0910 GMT) on Monday. Garces said there was later a 4.0 magnitude aftershock.
Justice Minister Tarek El Aissami urged calm and said the authorities had no reports of significant damage to buildings.
