Czechs beat Norway 5-2 to advance to 2nd round

The Czech Republic advanced to the second round of the ice hockey world championship with a 5-2 win over Norway on Monday.
Jan Marek, Petr Cajanek and Josef Vasicek scored in the first 13 minutes to give the Czechs a commanding 3-0 lead.
Norway replaced goaltender Pal Grotnes with Andre Lysenstoen to start the second period and closed the gap to 4-2 with goals from Tommy Jakobsen and Mats Zuccarello Assen. Miroslav Blatak scored in between for the Czechs.
Jakub Klepis scored in the third period to restore the Czechs' three goal advantage.
The Czechs, who outshot Norway 37-24, finish the first round Wednesday against Finland. Norway next meets Denmark.
