Hungary's foreign minister says the evidence so far does not support Bolivian claims of an assassination plot against their president in which Hungarians allegedly were involved.
Foreign Minister Peter Balazs says "the pieces of the mosaic don't fit" based on what has been reported by the media about the alleged plot and what he called insufficient information received officially by Hungary from Bolivia.
Three people were killed and two others taken into custody on Thursday in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, in what local officials said was a shoot-out with a group plotting to kill Bolivian President Evo Morales.
At least one of the suspects killed and one of those in custody were Hungarians, although they also likely held citizenship in other countries, as well.
