Marine National Park celebrates Earth Day

Earth Day is celebrated on April 22 every year worldwide with the intention to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth's environment. The Marine National Park Headquarters lately invited Taiwan representative of the International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) Chang Tai-di to make a public presentation in the Kaohsiung Metropolitan Park on Dongsha atoll and examination of waste in the international water, among the other two seminars on ocean conservancy.
Marine National Park Headquarters has been promoting marine education and activities to strengthen ties with residents since it started to operate in the park in October, 2007.
Upcoming events include a series of art and outdoor activities to celebrate the park's 13th anniversary as well as to inaugurate the park's expansion in the second stage on both April 19 and 25.
Visitors can take the MRT to the Metropolitan Park Station(R21), and get on the shuttle bus Red 58 to the park, or the park is ten minute walk from exit no. 4 at the station.
