France, Germany want concrete G-20 results

The leaders of France and Germany say they want concrete results from the Group of 20 summit in London.
Speaking at a news conference Wednesday with French President Nicolas Sarkozy, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said they had come in a constructive mood. But she said that "we do not want results that have no impact in practice."
She added: "We want the kind of results that are really an outcome and change the world."
Sarkozy had implied he might walk out if the summit's agreement didn't toughen financial regulation. He said Wednesday that Europe wants the summit to succeed.
