From March 21 to April 20, the Guest House of Sheraton Taipei Hotel will present the Formosan Gourmet Food series. Nearly 40 of the finest, innovative Taiwanese dishes prepared are by Chef Cheng-ching Lin with premium Formosan ingredients.
With praiseworthy cooking skills and a passion for Formosan cuisine, Chef Lin brings the "finest" Taiwanese dishes, including the baked mullet roe (Karasumi), stewed live mud crab with three sauces, Hakka stewed pork etc, each from NT$150 and up. Guests will surely enjoy these unfailing Taiwanese dishes!
An outstanding cook in a carefree and somewhat Taiwanese appearance, Chef Lin is a sincere person who always treats guests with a heart-felt smile and generously fulfills their needs ever since he was chef of the club. He treats customers with sincerity and patience and devotes to excelling native dishes with inexhaustible creativity.
Over the past 20 years, he has attracted an increasing group of loyal fans. Since 2009, he systemically blends Taiwanese dishes to the menu in various series.
The premiere series Formosan Gourmet Food shows a clear link to Fujianese, Taiwanese and Hakka cuisines. Grasping the features of these cuisines, such as the favor of various sauces, fermented beans, crispy frying, five-spice sauce, three-cup sauces, red vinasse, and pickles, Chef Lin presents guests gourmet Taiwanese dishes in a light, mild, fresh and pure taste. By improving native dishes with 30 years of cooking experience, Chef Lin designs nearly 40 innovative Formosan dishes to bring guests the unique joy of finest Taiwanese food.
The Guest House (17F) of Sheraton Taipei presents nearly 40 dishes in the Formosan Gourmet Food series from March 21 to April 20.
